“The great aim of education is not knowledge but action.” – Herbert Spencer
Change the Way They Read

Check out lesson plan number one to learn new ways to spread the necessity of being gender neutral and inclusive in the form of a classroom lesson. Books that are read to students at such a young age have an immense impact on their way of thinking. The goal is to choose different books to read that emphasize the gender neutrality initiative and to spur discussion on the message transmitted.

Change the Way They Play

Check out lesson plan number two in order to demonstrate to young students the importance of individuality and not abiding by stereotypes. This lesson will allow students to grasp the fundamental principle that girls and boys don't have specific types of toys they can play with, and that they can choose to do as they wish without the judgement of others because being unique is something to be embraced. Help your students move beyond pink and blue.

Change the Classroom

Check out lesson plan number three in order to craft a classroom environment that is gender neutral as well as gender representative. Children will have more freedom to utilize the classroom as a place to learn regardless of social pressures, as opposed to less of an incentive to expand past gender expectations due to harmful traditional classroom reinforcements.
